Korca Police officers have arrested a 40-year-old, who was trying to drive 68 illegal refugees to Tirana and then into the EU.
Sources close to Euronews Albania report that E.K, a resident of Gjirokaster was stopped by the police during a random patrol in the axis Pogradec-Qafe Thane.
He was driving a ‘Mercedes Benz’ truck that was carrying 68 passengers, illegal emigrants, who had offered to pay him 150 euros each, under the pretense that they would be taken into the EU.
When he was stopped by the officers of the police, E.K had tried to bribe them with 1.000 ALL.
