The tripartite meeting in Brussels between the chief negotiators of Kosovo and Serbia, Besnik Bislimi and Petar Petkovic, under the mediation of the EU, has ended.
The parties agreed to implement the agreement on missing persons, paving the way for the first meeting of the Joint Commission next month.
Bislimi confirmed that Serbia will no longer hinder the work of the commission, while Petkovic described this as the final step for the implementation of the declaration. The EU-led commission will oversee the process and implementation of the agreement, addressing previous obstacles.
The Declaration on Missing Persons, adopted in May, requires full access to documents related to the case. The EU reiterated the call for Kosovo and Serbia to implement all dialogue commitments for the normalization of relations.
