Kosovo expels 26 foreign nationals for working as escorts

Police investigators from the Directorate for the Investigation of Human Trafficking in Kosovo during 2024, have handled 22 cases with the phenomenon known as ‘Eskorta’, where after monitoring websites and social networks, a total of 50 suspects have been identified

Of them, 26 are women – 12 citizens of Colombia, 10 of Venezuela, two of Peru, one citizen of Turkey, one citizen of Ukraine and 24 male Kosovar citizens.

The persons involved in the “Eskorta” phenomenon were fined by the courts, while the foreign nationals were issued a deportation order and a three-year ban on entering Kosovo.

For the implementation of the expulsion order measure, the Border Police has been assigned the competence.
