President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that it is time for the authorities in Kosovo to fulfill their obligations and first of all to form the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority.
According to a post on the Instagram social network, Vucic made these statements during the meeting in Belgrade with the emissary of European Union, Miroslav Lajcak, and that of United States, Gabriel Escobar.
“Since the first day, Serbia has been constructive, consistent and a stable partner in all processes that would lead to maintaining stability throughout the region,” said Vucic.
Lajcak and Escobar visit comes after they held meetings in Kosovo for two days with heads of state and representatives of opposition parties.
The visit of two high-ranking officials to Pristina and Belgrade was realized after the increase of tensions and protests of local Serbs, which are still continuing in the north of Kosovo.
The emissaries have requested that the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, calm the situation in the north, hold new elections and return to the dialogue with Serbia.
