The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has reacted regarding the non-inclusion of Kosovo’s membership in the agenda of the meeting of the Council of Europe.
Through a post on the “X” network, Osmani expresses her conviction that Kosovo will be the 47th member of the Council of Europe, but its accession to this organization will only be a matter of time.
Osmani underlines that Kosovo in the journey to become part of the Council of Europe will not violate the democratic values that constitute the foundation of the republic.
“The Republic of Kosovo will be the 47th member of the Council of Europe. It’s just a matter of time. In this way, we will not violate the values that constitute the foundation of our country. Once there, we will continue to stand for the defining pillars: human rights, democracy and the rule of law. We will not serve as Russia’s extended hand or as a model of autocratic behavior. We are grateful to all the countries that have supported us so far. Together, we will work to make this victory of human rights a reality sooner rather than later”, writes Osmani.
