“We are well on the way to normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia for good European neighborliness.”
This is what the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, declared after the meeting in Brussels.
Kurti said that he was ready to sign today’s agreement about the European plan, but according to him, the Serbian side has refused to do so.
Kurti said that the Serbian side, although it agreed, refused to sign the agreement.
“Today we had a positive constructive meeting in Brussels and this meeting was confirmation that the European proposal is acceptable and unchangeable. I already said earlier that it is a good basis for further discussions and it is a solid platform to move forward, and moving forward will be for the implementation plan, for which there will also be flying diplomacy as it is called. But there will also be another high-level meeting sometime in the middle of March, with the mediation or facilitation of Mr. Borrell and Mr. Lajçak. On this occasion, I thank them both for the work they have done so far and I believe that we are on a good and one-way road to the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia for good European neighborliness”, he emphasized.
