Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former President Donald Trump, has set his sights on the Balkans for 3 projects transforming areas in Albania and Serbia.

Kushner’s foray into the region comes as his Miami-based private equity firm, Affinity Partners, is engaged in advanced investment discussions to exceed $1 billion, hoping to reshape the tourism and real estate landscape in Southeast Europe.

Among the ambitious projects is the transformation of the island of Sazan in Albania.

“The ability to develop 3 miles of beautiful coastline and a 1400 hectare island in the middle of the heart of the Mediterranean is unique. The water is crystal blue like the Maldives. Is beautiful. The beaches are incredible and it’s just one of these special places.”

In the interview given to “The Post”, Kushner said that he has been attracted from the tourism sector in Albania, as he has seen rapid development and international recognition in Albania.

Albania now boasts macroeconomic stability, a growing tourism industry and a growing attraction for international investors, and for this Kushner added that he intends to realize his projects soon.
