Lawyer Adriatik Lapaj says that the biggest problem in Albania today that has brought about the mass departure of young people is the political elite left in the mindset of the 90s.
During ‘NOW’ on Euronews Albania, Lapaj said that his generation was betrayed by their parents, who, becoming supporters of two big parties, could not guarantee the creation of a democratic system in the country.
“The biggest problem of Albania today is the calcified political elite with the mindset of the 90s and a generation that is hostage to technology. My generation and younger have been betrayed by our parents; when it came to guaranteeing a democratic system, they gave up by either dealing with those with a fist or with those with 2 fingers (symbols of Socialists or Democrats) This is an alarm so that at least young parents don’t sit around anymore, but debate ideas and recover what hasn’t been done so far”, said Lapaj.
