The majority and the opposition unanimously approved in the laws committee the draft law on salary increases in the public administration and other constitutional and independent institutions.

Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of Economy and Finance, said that 130,331 employees of the administration will benefit from the salary increase.

The democratic deputy, Saimir Korreshi, appreciated the initiative but asked for more attention for some categories that are more in need.

“We are in pro of increasing salaries, it would have been increased before, but some categories are more in need of it, such as pensioners, those with economic assistance” – emphasized Saimir Korreshi, DP deputy.

After the deputies of the economy commission and those of the laws, asked for an increase in their salaries. The request was made by the socialist MP Klevis Xhoxhi.

“I would suggest to the economy and finance committee the review of the salary report in link number 1 for the function in section A, B, C, D” – Klevis Xhoxhi, SP deputy.

“With the suggestion of our relator colleague, Mr. Xhoxhi, to revise the salary report for the functions of section A, B, C and D of link 1 within the principle of the salary hierarchy. This will be part of our committee’s suggestion for the responsible committee, the economy committee” – concluded Klotilda Bushka, head of the law committee.
