The legal representative of Sali Berisha’s grouping in the Democratic Party, Ledio Nurja, has asked the State Commissioner for Elections, Ilirjan Celibashi, to register the former prime minister in the May 14 elections.

Nurja said that Berisha is the chairman of the Democratic Party and was elected by the vote of the membership.

“The commissioner can make an independent decision based on facts known worldwide. The well-known facts are that change processes have taken place in DP, brought about by the will of its leaders. It is known that since one year, DP has had a chairman Mr. Sali Berisha, has its governing bodies, develops its political life in accordance with all the legal and by-laws that regulate the political life of a country”, he emphasized.
