A lawyer has been arrested after in 2021, when he was an employee at the Kukes Prosecutor’s Office, he intervened to ease a security measure.

The 38-year-old resident of Kukës is charged with the criminal offense of “Exercising illegal influence on persons exercising public functions”.

“It is suspected that on 05.03.2021, when the citizen A. C. was an employee at the Prosecutor’s Office of Kukes, he exerted illegal influence, in order to ease the security measure, assigned to the citizen F. I.,” the announcement states.

The arrest of the lawyer was made as a result of the cooperation between the Directorate of the Special Operational Force, in the DPPSH, and the Local Police Directorate of Kukes.

The procedural materials were passed to the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime, for further actions.
