Anton Berisha, the foreign policy advisor of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), asserts that Kosovo was the one who lost from renegotiating the license plates agreement with Serbia.
The former deputy foreign minister argued that the new agreement implies that Kosovo now recognizes Serbian plates.
“An existing agreement that has become problematic and was weakened because in this agreement we recognize illegal plates, plates that are registered in Serbia are part of the agreement”, he said.
Asked about the stance maintained by PM Albin Kurti, Berisha said that he sees it mainly as “propaganda”.
“They’ve returned to the patriotic realm, or let me call it artificial patriotism”, said Berisha.
The LDK foreign policy advisor also spoke about the Open Balkan, and the endorsement it has received by the Albanian government, describing it as a “quasi-naïve” attitude.
