In honor of the all-Albanian folk dance’s master, Besim Zekthi, awarded with the title “Honor of the Nation” and “Golden Necklace”, the Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances will bring to all art lovers, the concert “Legjenda e valles shqipe, Besim Zekthi”, on October 31 near the Opera and Ballet Theatre.

A rare jewel in the golden necklace of Albanian dance, folklore and culture, which exalted and gave charm to Albania on every prestigious stage of the world.

His artistic life is strongly connected with the artistic life of the Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances, not only as a dancer, but as the creator of a series of dances that are still successfully performed by the artists of the Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances, as part of the golden fund of Albanian’s cultural heritage.

This concert will present the creativity and solo interpretations of master Zekthi, based on his creative repertoire, accompanied by selected songs, including moments from his life and artistic activity or evaluations from various personalities.
