The symbols of communism have reappeared in Shkodra during the commemoration ceremony of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the country.
Gjon Bruçaj, the head of the communist party in Shkodra, said in a statement to the media that these 34 years the country has not been liberated but occupied.
“The national liberation war was led by the Communist Party of Albania, mentioning the war and not mentioning Enver Hoxha means not being here. If it wasn’t for the national liberation war, we wouldn’t have independence or freedom today. Glory to the Albanian Communist Party, glory to Enver Hoxha. These 34 years we have not been liberated, we are a country occupied by the American and European imperialists, Turkey, we are a dependent state”, he said.
