Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti reacted on X to the European Union’s decision to lift the measures imposed on Kosovo. In his response, Kurti wrote that these measures were unjust. According to him, the EU measures punished Kosovo and were orchestrated by Serbia.

“We welcome the EU’s decision to lift the measures imposed on Kosovo. Our government has consistently stated that these measures were unjust from the beginning, as they sanctioned Kosovo for divisions orchestrated by Serbia — an agenda that also led to multiple major terrorist attacks on our territory,” he wrote.

Kurti stated that despite the challenges, Kosovo’s institutions have maintained full commitment to the European Union and to meeting the criteria for membership.

“Throughout this period, we have remained fully committed to the European Union, to fulfilling the criteria for membership, and to continuing as dedicated allies and champions of democratic values,” Kurti emphasized.
