A majority of Albanians believe that the Socialist Party will finish their third governing term, ruling out odds for snap elections, similar to what 40.7% of voters from the Democratic Party think.

These were results retrieved from the survey conducted by the MRB company for Euronews Albania, where 70.7% of those interviewed responded that the SP “will finish its mandate”, 24.6% said “it will not terminate the mandate and the country will go to snap elections” – 4.7% did not answer.

What drew the attention was the fact that out of those who responded that the SP will take its third term all the way to the finish line, 96.7% were Socialist voters and 40.7% were Democrat voters.

From DP’s voters, 53.1% believe that the country will go to snap elections.

In terms of age groups, it is worth highlighting that 65–75-year-olds are the age group who are the most convinced that the SP will finish its third term (only 19% believed there will be snap elections).

Methodology

The survey was done for Euronews Albania by the prestigious company MRB who conducted 1.000 face-to-face interviews (49.5% male, 50.5% female) in urban and rural areas with eligible voters (+18) from May 25 until June 2.
