Nikolin Marku (Lekstakaj) is the 42-year-old who was killed at noon today in Balldre, Lezhë.
It is known that he was killed at the entrance of the market with Kalashnikov fire by unidentified persons.
The police have given official information about the murder, noting that around 18:30, in Balldre, Lezhë, under still unclear circumstances, a 42-year-old man was shot dead.
Police services went to the scene immediately and surrounded the area, a checkpoint was set up and the search for the identification and capture of the author/s continues.
The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office is continuing the work to clarify and document the circumstances of the event, identify and capture the author/s.
Until now, the circumstances of the incident are not known, but it is suspected that the murder took place for revenge motives.
The serious incident is suspected to be related to the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj a few weeks ago. Adrian Nikulaj, businessman in Lezhë, former candidate for deputy in the 2021 elections and candidate for the Municipal Council in the elections of May 14 of this year was killed by a masked person in his Coral business premises around 13:30 on 19 April.
The conflict between the two Nikulaj and Lekstakaj started in 1996, at a gas station at the exit of the city of Lezhë for an amount of money.
The blood feud continued in 1999 with the murder of Gjovalin Lekstakaj and his relative, Pjetër Lekstakaj, was injured.
These events continue to be unsolved by Albanian justice.
