Management of earthquake aftermath, government and opposition assessed by district of Durres

The citizens of the electoral district of Durres have graded the government over their work in the earthquake aftermath.

The survey conducted by Euronews Albania in collaboration with MRB revealed that 60.6% of the surveyed gave a positive assessment, as opposed to 39.4% responding negatively, to the Socialist government and the way it managed the consequences left behind by the earthquake that struck the country on November 26, 2020.

Even though the majority of citizens were “satisfied” with how the consequences were addressed, only 16.9% responded “very positive”, while others said “somewhat positive”.

In regards to the measures taken by the government in sheltering the people affected by the quake, a positive evaluation prevails (64.5%), as opposed to a negative one (35.5%).

On the other hand, the survey revealed the attitude of the citizens of Durres over the efforts made by the Democratic Party in regards to the situation after the earthquake.

43.9% of the respondents evaluated DP’s work as positive, meanwhile 53.7% as negative.

According to the data, 38.7% of the surveyed on a national scale said that DP’s work has been positive, meanwhile, 56% gave a negative evaluation.

Methodology
The survey covered urban and rural areas in the district of Durres with 660 face-to-face interviews from 7-17 of March.
