The new pediatric hospital at the University Hospital Center “Mother Teresa” will be in operation for small patients at the beginning of 2024. The progress of the works was inspected by the Ministry of Health Ogerta Manastirliu.

“A hospital that is being rebuilt, with a capacity of 120 beds, is really a large volume of work at a time that we want to arrive, within the end of this year, the beginning of next year, so that we can furnish it and make it functional”, Manastirliu said.

The minister gave the news that the internal diseases hospital will open its doors these days, to make way for the works for the cardiac surgery hospital.

“It is a hospital that has already been finalized and it is expected that day by day we will open this hospital, open the doors and make it functional. The work at QSUT for the modernization of all services will continue with the opening of the works within this year for the cardiac surgery hospital, then with the works for the psychiatric hospital”, said the minister.

QSUT is the hospital with the highest number of patients and the highest percentage of bed utilization.
