The Mayor of Himara, Vangjel Tavo, has ordered the suspension of all construction activities in the city’s tourist zone from June 15 to September 15, in an effort to preserve the environment and landscape during the tourist season. The order applies to all entities with building permits issued by the municipality.
Construction companies are required to fence off and cover building sites with aesthetically pleasing materials to maintain a pleasant atmosphere for both local and foreign visitors.
They are also obligated to restore any areas affected by interventions in water supply, communication, or road networks to their original state.
The implementation of this order will be monitored by the Directorate of Territorial Protection, the Municipal Police, and the Directorate of Territorial Planning and Development.
