The contemporary theater festival titled “Mediums” by actress Ema Andrea is coming to Tirana for the first time.

This cultural event that gathers artists and theater companies aims to become an annual initiative, placing Tirana and Albania every year in the dynamics of contemporary art.

The actress herself in an interview for Euronews Albania emphasized that this festival will have performances from Greece, Italy, Turkey and Sarajevo.

“It is happening for the first time that a community theater festival is taking place. It is the first time in the capital. I wish it to be a long-lasting festival. There will be performances from different countries, such as Albania, Sarajevo, Greece, Italy, Turkey. The Turkish troupe comes with an interesting show which connects us very strongly”, said Ema Andrea.

Among other things, she showed what is the purpose of this festival that will be held for the citizens of Albania.

“The goal is to grow with as little frustration as possible for the time we live in. To accept and love the mistakes and good things that we have as part of the world”, said the actress.

“Presenting Albania” by Klaus Martini, is the first show of Medium. This play shows the meeting between a twenty-year-old son of Albanian migrants and ‘The Dream of a Thing’ by Pier Paolo Pasolini, an imaginary correspondence that leads him to tell the story of his parents’ migration, the legends handed down by his grandparents, the dances and ceremonies that give rhythm to the life of the peasant world.
