After two hours, the meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office between Prime Minister Edi Rama and Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias came to an end. Following the closed-door meeting, Rama bid farewell to Dendias from the premises of the Prime Minister’s Office.
The discussions focused on restarting dialogue regarding maritime zones and the continental shelf, a process that has remained stalled for years. After the meeting, Rama shared images from the talks and described Dendias as “a valued friend” and “a steadfast supporter of the strategic partnership between the two countries.”
“With the Greek Minister of Defense, Nikos Dendias, a valued friend and a steadfast supporter of the strategic partnership between Albania and Greece,” Rama wrote.
Also present at the meeting was Defense Minister Ermal Nufi. Dendias will continue his agenda in Albania, where later in the afternoon he is scheduled to meet His Beatitude Joan, Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës, and All Albania.
