Moderator Erla Mehilli claimed that Sali Berisha and Enkelejd Alibeaj are responsible if DP loses in the May 14 elections.

In an interview with journalist Bruna Cifligu on Euronews Albania, Mehilli argued that the responsibility is the same for both parties, even though one party, in this case, Alibeaj’s group, may have rejected the DP merger due to certain political interests.

“If Berisha has made all efforts to join and the other party has refused, he has no interest in joining because he will go to the elections with the DP logo – with the DP logo, in order to get as many votes as possible even when taking into account the general elections but this remains to be seen because the merger of the two DP factions can’t be done by force,”, said Mehilli.
