Journalist Lirim Mehmetaj said that the news about the resignation of Aleksandar Vucic is a psychological game that the latter is playing.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, he said that this move comes after the Serbian president has not accepted the association of municipalities with a Serbian majority.

However, he emphasized that Vucic will not resign.

“I don’t believe that Vucic will resign, it’s a psychological game that Vucic plays in relation to his voters. What has happened is that Vucic has not accepted the association of municipalities with a Serbian majority and therefore will not go to negotiations for the final agreement. My impression is that the association of municipalities with a Serbian majority has been accepted by the Kosovar side. This was told to Vucic in Belgrade and the way has already been opened for the negotiation of the basic agreement. This is a critical moment for Vucic, but I don’t believe that he will resign,” he said.
