The Minister of Education and Sports Evis Kushi hosted in a meeting the Director of the Cervantes Institute in Rome, Ignacio Peyro and the Ambassador of Spain in Tirana, Alvaro Renedo Zalba.

The first issue was the implemention of a pilot project for teaching the Spanish language at high school.

Another issue that was discussed during the meeting was the opening of an office for the “Cervantes” Institute in Tirana, which the Spanish ambassador and the director of the Cervantes Institute assessed as important the learning of Spanish language and culture.

Appreciating the importance of this institution and that of the Spanish language, Minister Kushi said that it will be seen the possibility of cooperation with educational institutions that can offer the realization of this request.

Also it was discussed about the realization of international exams for the Spanish language. Kushi said that she was ready for cooperation and support for the drafting of an agreement for this cooperation with the Cervantes Institute. This exam has been recognized by the Ministry of Education and Sports and is currently conducted by the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​at the University of Tirana.
