President Ilir Meta during a press conference raised allegations about the schemes of how votes are sought to be bought in different areas in Albania.

Meta stressed that currently in Durres there are three gangs that put pressure on citizens for the elections.

“All the people of Durres feel the tension there. In Durres there are three gangs that put pressure on citizens. Two well-known gangs of Vangjush Dako, of the gang of Shijaut and Durres with the help of the Police. We have Ardian Çela of OSSHE. The third one who should have been in prison is Lefter Koka with his son and his gang that terrorizes girls and women and all honest people of Durres,” Meta said.

Likewise, the head of state called on the international community to react in time.

“I call on the international community to be principled and to react in a timely manner. If we had not accepted, we would not have tolerated the unilateral violation of the June 5 agreement, the situation would have been way better since a long time ago,” said the head of state.

He stressed that SPAK does not act against criminals because Edi Rama does not give his permission.

I call on Ardi Veliu to take this situation seriously. Anyone involved in electoral crimes will face a special law,” the head of state concluded.
