Albanian teacher Mimoza Baci has been awarded the title of teacher of the year in the United Kingdom by FETN (Further Education Tutorial Network).

The ‘Outstanding Personal Teacher of the Year’ award recognizes innovative teaching techniques, the quality of practice, the impact an individual teacher makes and the standards to which they work, according to the website of Barnet and Southgate College where she teaches.

Mimoza has worked at Barnet and Southgate College for over nine years in a variety of roles, but currently works in Student Services to help students achieve their goals and progress in their education through lessons.

I am very touched and really proud of myself and the team I work with! Thank you FETN for the recognition, it means a lot”, said Mimoza after receiving the award.

Mimoza received her award at the FETN Annual Conference in Sheffield, accompanied by Student Services colleagues Franca Marchese and Christie Tsupra.
