The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, has left for Brussels, where the next day, on December 7, he will participate in the Summit “EU-Western Balkans – Breaking the Deadlock: Women, youth, justice and enlargement of the EU”.

The Albanian chief diplomat will be part of the first panel “EU enlargement: a new geopolitical emergency”

During this year’s summit, the opportunity will be offered to reflect on the most urgent challenges, risks and uncertainties that the region has experienced in 2023 and to identify the prospects for overcoming them through a series of policy recommendations.

This summit will provide an opportunity to reflect on these challenges in the context of the renewed momentum of EU enlargement, which includes not only the Western Balkans, but also Ukraine, Moldova and other countries of the EU’s Eastern Neighborhood.
