The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, traveled from Budapest this afternoon to Spain, where he will be welcomed in a meeting by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain, Jose Manuel Albares Bueno.

The focus of the visit will be issues such as: strengthening of bilateral cooperation between Albania and Spain; Albania’s progress on the road to the EU; identification of economic prospects for strengthening trade and investment opportunities, etc.

Minister Hasani will also participate in the business forum Albania – Spain. For the year 2023, Spain ranks 9th among Albania’s largest trading partners. The Spanish market is the 5th largest in value for Albanian exports and the 13th supplier for Albania.

This year, Albania and Spain celebrate the 110th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
