Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, took his speech at the Ministerial of the Ministers of the Interior of the EU and the Western Balkans.

He thanked his colleagues, while saying that this was his first time of such an organization after 18 years in Parliament as the leader of the majority. At the same time, the minister congratulated the anti-drug operation finalized this morning.

“I will apologize if I make any mistakes, since I am new to this task and I am very happy to inform you that last night the Albanian police carried out a very successful operation against narcotics. For this I am very proud and I send a big greeting not only in my name, but also in your name,” Balla said.

Balla brought in attention the influx of tourists this year, describing himself as a border official who welcomed tourists, considering that he personally visited each border crossing point, where checks were without obstacles and maximum security, he said.

“My sincere thanks go to my colleagues from the neighboring countries: Greece, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia and of course Kosovo, for the control operations without obstacles that I tried personally at each state border crossing point,” Interior Minister declared.
