Starting from September 13th, the English language will be the first second language being taught in schools around our country, starting from the first grade.

The Ministry of Education has published the new regulation, which is expected to put an end to the discontent presented by parents, over the lack of this subject in their school curriculums.

“Starting from the new school year, this September, the English language will start to be taught in all schools nationwide, starting from the first grade,” said the Minister of Education, Evis Kushi.

The news was announced by Kushi, during her word before the Congress of the Socialist Party, a few days ago.

Compared to previous years, when the English language would start in the third grade, from September 13th, it will be taught since the first one.

The English language will now by a first language for students, from the first grade to the 12th, – a plan that was presented by PM Edi Rama, during his campaign back in March.

The implementation of this new regulation will also solve the problem facing many parents, who complained that in certain public schools, English was the second language, and in others its was French, German or Italian.

Through the years, the interest of parents to have their children learn the English language has definitely increased, seeing the high number of them participating in private courses.
