Money transfers made by Albanian immigrants will be cheaper. The benefits will be felt, starting next year, if banks set up the SEPA system.
Commissions for money transfers from Europe to Albania or vice versa will be minimal, starting next year. With Albania’s membership in SEPA, it is now up to the banks to build the system that enables these payments, and for the governor of the Central Bank, all possibilities are that this process will take place within 2025.
Sejko said that this development will save millions of euros for Albanian immigrants, as the banks themselves have tested it in advance.
At the year-end meeting, the governor’s awards for the best diploma of 2024 were also awarded, which went to Eneda Gjoka, Endri Deda and Markelian Blacëri.
