Vehicle traffic at the Han i Hotit Border Crossing will be restricted for 48 hours starting on Monday, January 26.

In a statement, the Border Police announced that the restriction is due to a protest by truck drivers in Montenegro, which will begin on January 26, 2026, at 11:30 AM and is expected to last for a 48-hour period.

“For safety reasons and to avoid road blockages or possible incidents, the circulation of heavy-tonnage vehicles from Albania to Montenegro will not be allowed until the protest ends. On road axes leading to the border crossings with the Republic of Montenegro, only passenger cars, emergency vehicles, buses, and passenger transport vehicles will be permitted to circulate. The Border Police ask for the understanding of drivers of heavy-tonnage vehicles and their cooperation in respecting the movement restrictions, in order to prevent road blockages or potential incidents,” the police statement said.
