The distinctive roar of powerful motorcycles and the sound of rock music took over the city of Korçë this weekend.
As part of the Moto&Rock Festival, well-known Albanian musicians such as Aleksandër and Renis Gjoka, along with other rock bands, accompanied the thunder of the “kings” of the road—Harley Davidson, BMW GS, Ducati Monster, Yamaha Drag Star, and many others—who paraded through the city streets, offering a true spectacle for all adrenaline and heavy bike enthusiasts.
Bikers from various EU countries praised the organization and the hospitality of the people of Korçë.
“This is my first time in Albania. I toured from Germany, then Greece, and now I’m here. It’s a beautiful country. I really like Tirana, the clean roads, and Korçë is very welcoming. The food and beer are fantastic,” said one biker.
“These kinds of events go viral on social media and really help the city. People gather from all Albanian-speaking regions—some come from Greece and other countries. There are both Albanian and foreign bikers; I see a lot of Italians. We came from Greece—we’re Albanians living there,” said another participant.
The festival lasted for two nights in Korçë’s main square and has now become a tradition, with this being the fifth consecutive year it is held.
