Tirana Road Police, in cooperation with Tirana Municipal Police, have launched an awareness campaign regarding the movement with electric skates, an ever-increasing trend among citizens.

In addition to communicating with citizens, the officers are distributing leaflets listing all the tips for moving safely and respecting traffic rules.

Through the announcement on the official Facebook page, the State Police has appealed for the respect of road traffic rules.

“Move safely on the streets of the capital,” the post reads.

Meanwhile, Besmir Qibini, head of Tirana Road Traffic, stated earlier in Euronews Albania that there is a reaction from citizens who use electric skates to move.

“Mainly the users of electric skates have knowledge, it’s an intellectual part, they have understanding. In the contacts we have had with them, we support them because they actually avoid traffic, avoid part of the pollution, but the manner and respect of horizontal and vertical signage must be respected because it causes fatal consequences, accidents,” said Qibini.
