The fight within the party has brought its consequences for the opposition in these elections as well. There are 4 municipalities that Democratic Party could have won if it was united.

In the municipality of Kuçova, the 783 votes that Ilir Koxhaj of the Democratic Party received, caused the mandate of the mayor Lefer Maliqi of the Together We Win coalition.

In the Municipality of Finiq, if the Democratic Party were united in these elections, it would have won 61.42% of the votes, against the candidate of the ‘MEGA’ party.

In the municipality of Këlcyrë, Adriatik Spahiu’s 137 votes, defeated the candidate of the coalition “Together We Win” Arjan Kasaj, these votes if the DP were united, would make 50.66% of the total, enough to win.

The fourth municipality where the split of the opposition favored the socialist majority is the Municipality of Mallakaster, where Agron Kapllanaj lost with 290 votes against the socialist Qerim Ismaili, while the candidate of ‘Together We Win’ Coalition managed to get 735 votes, enough to make 51.76% if they were united, those votes would not go to the Socialist Party.
