21 Ukrainian, German, French, Albanian and Macedonian youths came together to convey messages of peace, through their artworks which were placed on one of the walls of the Skopje’s park. They asked their peers for more tolerance and peace, remembering European values.
“I want to convey my positive energy through this work. I want to send messages of peace. I want peace in the world. Especially in Ukraine,” said Mika Schaub, an artist from Germany.
The artist from Kosovo emphasized that everyone, without differences, should respect each other, conveying to everyone that security in the world is a necessity.
“The theme is about peace so I wanted to present something with my art. It is something very simple but it represents a lot. There are positive colors and we wanted to send a message to youth to be as positive as possible and not to use violence. May they have peace among themselves,” said Besmira Fejzullahu.
The organizers of this project showed that united youth can show that the future is in the EU.
” You can see the result of their work. I want to see more joint projects like this,” said Katrin Osvald Rishter, from the Goethe Institute.
The mural was created within the project “Leave us alone!” of the French Institute in Skopje, the German Goethe Institute and the “Loja” association from Tetova, which includes 21 young artists from France, Germany and Macedonia, whose goal is to strengthen multicultural dialogue among young people.
