As the November holidays approach, one of the activists for national issues, at the same time an artist, Bledar Çakalli is creating a mural in Vlora with red and black colors, where the 40 signatories that sealed the Independence of Albania are reflected in it. For him, this work is a call of blood to keep the national history alive.
“The goal is very big, patriotism is not only for the November holidays, so I will convey a message about keeping alive the history of the Albanian nation. There are 40 figures of Independence who have signed for Albania to be an independent state, and very few know or know the other figures, except for Ismail Qemali and Isa Boletini, who are two legendary figures of the nation”, said the artist.
As the great-grandson of one of the martyrs of the war, the 32-year-old shows his patriotism in the lines he says:
“I see this work as a duty, it will not be finished on the 28th, it is expected to be finished by December. It is enough to do it willingly and love it and feel the weight of the nation or the cause it represents. The message is very clear: We have no reason to blame Albania, this land which is a very old land, a glorious history, for some figures who have destroyed this”, concludes the artist Bledar Çakalli.
This mural with the national heroes who signed the freedom of the country is being realized along the national axis Vlora-Orikum in Jonufër and is expected to be finished in December.
