The US ambassador to Bosnia, Michael Murphy, reacted to the statement of the head of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, who three days ago said in this century “Serbs should have a single state”, part of which, according to Dodid, should be Kosovo, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Through a communiqué for the media, the US diplomat states that the US will not stand idly by while Dodik and his political friends try to tear apart the structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina, destabilize the country and the region and hinder the country’s progress towards the EU.

Milorad Dodik, President of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity “is blocking the government, threatening peace and seeking to blackmail or harass the country’s other political leaders and the international community,” US Ambassador to Bosnia Michael Murphy said in a statement to the media on Tuesday.

“We are determined to protect the sovereignty, territorial integrity and multi-ethnic character of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he added.
