Under the artistic dome of the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet, in an evening dedicated to the November holidays, the music of Albanian cinema emerged like a beautiful nostalgic prayer, bringing back to life memories, portraits, voices, and stories that have lived for decades in the hearts of the Albanian public.

The Symphony Orchestra, the Choir and the Children’s Choir of the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet, in collaboration with the RTSH Symphony Orchestra and under the direction of Gridi Kraja, presented the extraordinary musical themes of Albanian films, from Nëntori i Dytë, Skënderbeu, Dimri i Fundit, Gjeneral Gramafoni, Liri a vdekje, to Në shtëpinë tonë.

For nearly two hours, the audience was enveloped in profound nostalgia, traveling back in time—to childhood, early loves for cinema, silent yet unforgettable heroes, and the stories that shaped Albania’s cinematic narrative.

This is because the music of Albanian films was not merely an accompaniment to the images; it was the story itself, the breath, almost the soul of those films.

Special solo moments came from TKOB’s principal clarinetist, Elton Katroshi, and vocalist Kamela Islamaj, who completed the artistic mosaic of this rare evening.

Through soundtracks that carry so many memories, this festive concert also served as a tribute to the great masters Çesk Zadeja, Kujtim Laro, Limoz Dizdari, Zef Çoba, and Aleksandër Peçi.
