The Italian media outlet La Stampa, citing Italy’s Democratic Party, reports the disappearance of 15 migrants. According to the report, out of 41 migrants transferred to Gjadër, only 25 now remain.

Member of the European Parliament Cecilia Strada, after an inspection, described the situation as “a hell compared to Italian centers” and “a shameful waste.”

“While all attention was focused on the death of Pope Francis, the Gjadër center in Albania was being emptied. No one would have known if Cecilia Strada, MEP of the Democratic Party, had not carried out a new inspection last Saturday and Sunday.

The scene that emerges from the inspection is a ‘mix of pain, despair, and waste that is truly scandalous and makes you feel ashamed,'” explained Cecilia Strada, according to La Stampa.
