Names of New Parliamentary Committee Chairs Revealed by the Majority

The majority has determined the names of the chairs who will lead six of the most important parliamentary committees for the new legislature. Euronews Albania has secured the official list of the new leadership, which is expected to be approved in the upcoming session.

  1. The Committee on Economy, Employment, and Finance will be chaired by Milva Ekonomi, a well-known figure for her experience in public administration and finance.

  2. The Committee on Legal Affairs and Public Administration will be headed by Ulsi Manja, currently the Minister of Justice and a key figure in the justice reform.

  3. The Committee on Internal Affairs and Defense will be entrusted to Bledi Çuçi, former Minister of the Interior, with experience in managing security and public order.

  4. The Committee on Natural Resources, Infrastructure, and Sustainable Development will be chaired by Anila Denaj, former Minister of Finance and well-versed in strategic development issues.

  5. The Committee on Agriculture, Food, and Rural Development will be led by Blendi Klosi, another experienced figure who has served in several ministries, including environment and tourism.

  6. The Committee on Europe and Foreign Affairs will be chaired by Igli Hasani, former Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, with a diplomatic career and active role in the European integration process.

  7. The Committee on Citizens’ Initiatives, Cooperation, and Institutional Oversight will be chaired by Fatmir Xhafaj.

Meanwhile, the Special Committees will be chaired by Damian Gjiknuri and Arbjan Mazniku:

  1. The Special Committee on Electoral Reform – chaired by Damian Gjiknuri.

  2. The Special Committee on Territorial Reform – chaired by Arbjan Mazniku.
