Electricity losses, which are caused by theft or network depreciation, have been significantly reduced this year.
The data of the Regulatory Entity show that the level of losses in the January-October period was 17.3%, from 18.7% last year.
This reduction in losses in the transmission network comes as a result of investments made in the country in the transmission network.
In quantity, there are 1.1 million megawatts, out of 6.3 million megawatts produced. If these losses were to go to the consumer and at the average price of electricity this year, the damage would be around 110 million euros.
To manage the supply, KESH has imported electricity from abroad, maintaining the water reservoir in Fierza. The quota at the hydropower plant in November was 270 meters, while purchases abroad cost 16 million euros.
Meanwhile, with the rains of December, energy production is being provided from within the country.
