As there are only 3 days left from the start of the new school year, the head of the municipality of Tirana Erion Veliaj and the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla have met with the responsible structures of the State Police, the Municipal Police, as well as with school administrators, for the plan of safety in schools and preparations for the new educational year.

“This year we will open 10 more schools. It means that, in addition to solving the problem of teaching with two shifts, we have also created 10 new centers, in which there will be gatherings, movements and the need for coordination. Most of the schools, about 70 of them, are community centers. This means that we have to focus, not only in the morning, when there is teaching, but also in the afternoon,” stated Veliaj.

Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, emphasized the fight against crime and negative phenomena in Albanian schools.

“Starting with the sale and distribution of narcotics and then with illegal possession of firearms, cold weapons, as well as any other crime of violence, exploitation of prostitution, or pornography, we will increase the punishments against all criminals that are involved in these criminal offenses within the school security perimeter. Our main objective is to prevent, without any compromise, criminality and the use of narcotic substances among young people, as well as to attack the drug distribution network in the security perimeter of schools, in Tirana and throughout Albania,” he said. forehead

In order to ease the morning traffic at the start of the new school year, the order of the Municipality of Tirana to stop traffic for vans transporting food goods from 07:00 to 09:00 in the morning is reinstated. Also, from 07:00 in the morning to 08:00 in the evening, mixers, concrete mixers, trucks, trailers will not be allowed, and all construction sites in Tirana will have to work after 20:00 in the evening.
