Lawyer Spartak Ngjela has stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama is interested in having Sali Berisha and according to him he will give the latter some municipalities in the May 14 elections.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, he said that if the DP will not unite, Berisha will fail since the Americans will support Enkelejd Alibeaj.

“If they do not unite until the election, Saliu’s faction will fail badly because the Americans and Westerners will support Alibeaj and this is not discussed. The way they are, there is no competition, the socialists will win only if Rama leaves them alone to help Berisha. Rama knows that if he does not have Berisha in front of him for three months, he is no longer the president of the SP. He is interested in Berisha being in politics. Rama has left no rivals within the party,” he said.
