The Speaker of the Assembly of Albania, Lindita Nikolla, met today with the Speaker of the Parliament of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah Al-Sheikh, and the accompanying delegation, which is on an official visit to Albania.

During the meeting, they talked about promoting bilateral cooperation, very good political, economic and parliamentary relations between the two countries.

President Nikolla expressed her gratitude to her Saudi colleague for the financial assistance given to Albania over the years, for the financing of important infrastructure projects and the increased interest of Saudi companies to consider investing in Albania in the fields of energy, tourism, agriculture, agri-business, mining, etc..

Nikolla underlined that “Our two countries will expand comprehensive political, economic and parliamentary cooperation, will intensify the fight against crime, terrorism, radicalism and extremism, for the protection of peace and security.”

Likewise, President Nikolla expressed to President Al-Sheikh her gratitude for the recognition and support of Kosovo by Saudi Arabia in the requests for membership in UNESCO, Interpol, etc., as well as the belief that this support will continue.

The Speaker of the Parliament of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah Al-Sheikh, thanked President Nikolla for the warm welcome and underlined that “Saudi Arabia will continue cooperation with Albania and this cooperation is much more than political, economic and financial, it is a “translation” of friendship between our countries and our peoples.

President Nikolla and President Al-Sheikh underlined that the parliaments of Albania and Saudi Arabia will continue to promote comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
