Smoking by teenagers has become an alarm for the World health experts. The latest data speak of an increase in the number of children aged 13-15 among smokers.
For the Albanian tobacco and alcohol expert Roland Shuperka, this alarm should be even more worrying for Albania, where smoking rates are higher.
Based on this situation, the WHO has decided that the focus of World Anti-Tobacco Day on May 31, 2024, should be the prevention of smoking among teenagers.
Globally, 1 in 5 adults are smokers, while the objective is to reduce the number of consumers by 2030.
