On Tuesday, the Kosovo Customs authorities stopped an undeclared amount of nearly one kilogram of gold at Pristina Airport.
Customs announces that after a detailed assessment, it was found that the real value of the prohibited gold is around 59 thousand euros.
“During passenger screening, scanner images showed indications of undeclared goods inside a bag. After opening the bag, the hidden goods were discovered along with the relevant documentation accompanying the goods. After a detailed evaluation by the Kosovo Customs, it was found that the real value of the prohibited gold is 59,294.12 euros”, the announcement states.
According to the Customs, the case is being handled in close cooperation with the Kosovo Customs Investigations Sector and the State Prosecutor, to analyze all the details and to undertake the appropriate legal actions against the responsible individuals.
