Prime Minister Edi Rama has declared that no student, teacher, university professor, or administration staff will enter educational institutions without being vaccinated first.
“Only who is vaccinated will enter the auditorium. Because it’s not fair that those who are responsible in wanting to protect themselves, should be threatened by those living with conspiracy theories, or completely unscientific, unfounded, and unjustified fears. Obviously, nobody can force them, and no one intends to do so, but in public spaces, it is mandatory to be vaccinated. The same goes to teachers and the administration”, Rama said.
Meanwhile, health minister Ogerta Manastirliu noted that there has been a significant number of students who were interested in getting the jab, adding that the vaccination campaign will continue in universities and dormitories.
“We will deploy vaccination teams in auditoriums, universities, and dormitories, in order to give the opportunity to those who are unable to visit health centers, to get the jab near the dormitory or university”
Regarding the vaccine certificate, the health minister informed that the data will soon be integrated into the European Union’s system.
