Democratic MP Lefter Geshtenja in an interview for Euronews Albania announced that a proposal has been made by the opposition for changes in the road code for bringing down the number of paid parking spots by 50%.

He said that out of 10,000 paid parking lots in Tirana, 5,000 should be free.

According to him, this change will help citizens.

“Another major change that is in favor of the citizens and the general public is the halving of paid parking spots. In Tirana we have over 10 thousand paid parking lots, and the changes we propose will include having 5 thousand paid parking lots and 5 thousand free parking lots. This is a convenience for citizens in all municipalities across the country,” he said.
